Bolton and Doug James wrote this song in 1982 and had originally pitched it to Air Supply, but rescinded the offer when Air Supply wanted to change the lyrics. The first recorded version was by Laura Branigan for her 1982 album “Branigan 2.” Bolton himself didn’t record the song until 1989 for his album “Soul Provider.”
