Did you know “Crazy” was originally written by Willie Nelson? When it was first suggested that Patsy Cline record “Crazy” on an upcoming record, she insisted against it. She must’ve really not liked the song. But after much persistence, her team convinced her to give it a shot and she recorded the vocals in one perfect take. She probably doesn’t regret recording it now. It was one of the most popular songs of her (sadly short) career and is ranked #85 on The Rolling Stones list of 500 Greatest Songs. Get this – apparently Willy Nelson originally wanted the song to be called “Stupid”…
